About Your Instructor

Dedicated to Piano Instruction

Ms. Galletta was born and raised in ChiÈ™inău, Republic of Moldova. She began piano lessons at the age of three with Liudmila Boico, who introduced her to the renowned Larisa Jar—head of the Piano Department at the Ciprian Porumbescu Republican Music Lyceum in ChiÈ™inău—under whose guidance she studied for the next 12 years.

By fourth grade, Ms. Galletta was awarded a presidential stipend recognizing her exceptional talent in the arts. At age 16, she performed the first movement of Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Teleradio Orchestra of Moldova under the baton of Gheorghe Mustea, at an event hosted by the Polish Embassy in honor of Frédéric Chopin. She has earned distinctions in numerous competitions and festivals across Europe.

In the United States, Ms. Galletta has participated in masterclasses with internationally acclaimed faculty from the Eastman School of Music and Indiana University. She enjoys collaborating with vocalists and performing in chamber ensembles. During her undergraduate studies, she won Second Place in the NJMTA Young Musicians Competition (Collegiate Division).

Ms. Galletta graduated summa cum laude from Rowan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance. While completing her undergraduate degree, she taught as a faculty instructor in the Rowan Preparatory Program.

 

Ms. Galletta recently completed her Master of Arts in Piano Performance at Rowan University, where she studied under the distinguished Veda Zuponcic, head of the Piano Department. During her graduate studies, Rowan University’s College of Performing Arts recognized Ms. Galletta with the prestigious Jacobs Music Award for Music Excellence.
