About Your Instructor

Dedicated to Piano Instruction

Mrs. Galletta was born and raised in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova.  She started piano lessons at the age of three under Liudmila Boico, who introduced her to the renowned Larisa Jar (the head of the Piano Department at the Ciprian Porumbescu Republican Music Lyceum in Chisinau), with whom she studied for the next 12 years.

As early as the fourth grade, Mrs. Galletta was chosen to receive a presidential stipend for outstanding talent in the arts.  At the age of 16, she performed the first movement of Chopin's Piano Concerto no. 1 with the Teleradio Orchestra of Moldova under the direction of Gheorghe Mustea for an event organized by the Polish Embassy to commemorate the life and works of Frederic Chopin.  Mrs. Galletta has also participated and placed in many competitions and festivals throughout her tenure of study in Europe.

While in the US, Mrs. Galletta has participated in masterclasses with internationally acclaimed faculty from Eastman School of Music and Indiana University and enjoys the accompaniment of vocal artists and being a part of chamber ensembles.  She placed Second in the NJMTA Young Musician's Competition Collegiate division during her undergraduate program. 


Mrs. Galletta graduated Suma Cum Laude at Rowan University where she received a bachelor's in Piano Performance.  While completing her bachelor's degree she taught as a faculty instructor for the Rowan Preparatory Program. She is currently pursuing her Master of Art in Piano Performance under the instruction of the renowned Veda Zuponcic, the head of the Piano Department of Rowan University.
